!doctype html is a document type declaration. which means it will allow the browser to which html it is (the flavour).
afterwards is the html opening tabs (with the arrows), that lets you know what is ending and what is what. basically in maths with brackets (this is a writing form. (this is inside of the writing form) ending the form) basically those Russian dolls.
p is for paragraph.
br is for line break
b is for body.
h is for head.
em is for italics. strong is bold.

a is for anchor. which is a destination of the "link"
href is the actually link.
so anchor, and it's chain, leads to the boat...
